The two leading Radio stations in the Asante Akim Central Municipality have pledged their support for the activities of the Municipal Assembly. The two Radio stations, Kings Radio and Virgin City Radio made the declaration at a round table meeting with management of the Assembly at Konongo-Odumasi.

Leading the delegation to the office of the Municipal Chief Executive, the General Manager of Kings Radio, Mr. Owusu Brobbey said as development partners, there is the need for the stations and the Assembly to work hand in hand for the overall development of the municipality.

The round table meeting, which was held at the instance of the Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Susan Akomeah was to provide a platform for the Radio stations and the Assembly to brainstorm on how to move the development of the municipality forward.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. David Owusu Ansah who stood in for the municipal Chief Executive said, radio station are agenda setters due to the powerful role they play in the communication industry. He said in view of that it is prudent for the Assembly as a major stakeholder in the implementation of state policies to coexist with radio stations as lead players to champion the course of development.
