Members were summoned to attend a Special Assembly Meeting of the Asante Akim Central Municipal Assembly slated for Wednesday, 13th march, 2024 at the Conference Hall of the Municipal Assembly, Konongo-Odumase at 9am prompt.

Formation of Sub-Committee and Their Convenors
Present at the meeting were Municipal Chief Executive, Presiding Member, Municipal Coordinating Director, Assembly Members and head of units/Department. The meeting was presided by PM hence took the house through the nomination of Sub Committee Members and their respective conveners.
A total of eight (8) Sub Committees were created with each subcommittee having 7 members. Conveners were selected thereof for each sub-committee by the subcommittee members. An additional committee was also created. Listed below are the subcommittees created and their respective conveners:
1. Social Services Subcommittee. Convener for this subcommittee is the person of Hon. Kingsford Appiah Kubi
2. Works Subcommittee. Convener selected was Hon. Ernest Adjei
3. Justice and Security Subcommittee. Conveyor for this subcommittee is the person of Hon. Kadiri
4. Development Planning Subcommittee. The conveyor selected for this subcommittee is Hon. Alex Nyarko
5. Finance and Administration Subcommittee. The convener selected for this subcommittee is Hon. Seth Ofori Ofosuhene
6. Environmental and Sanitation Subcommittee. The convener selected for this subcommittee is Hon. Thomas Bamfo
7. Medium and Small Scale Enterprise Subcommittee. The convener selected for this subcommittee is Hon. Budu Benjamin
8. Agriculture Subcommittee. The convener selected for this subcommittee is Hon. Alex Samuel Baidoo
The presiding member mentioned that each Subcommittee will be given a secretary to work with which will be delegated by the Municipal Coordinating Director. He informed Assembly Members that reports are supposed to pass through the MCD before being forwarded for onward consideration and approval.
A Public Relation Complainant Committee of 5 members was also instituted with the Chairman being the Presiding Member.
The health Director informed the house about an upcoming cancer awareness program. He added that their main challenge is lack of logistics.
The Agriculture Director reminded the house of the ongoing planting for Food and Jobs phase II Flagship program registration.
Adjournment was proposed by Presiding Member which was then defended by the house.
